Renowned Children's Author & Illustrator Jan Brett Scheduled to Visit Springfield

Join us on December 9, at 10 a.m. inside the Library Center, for a special visit with Jan Brett.

Author of over 40 picture books with over 44 million in print, Jan Brett is renowned for her exquisite art, which is universally recognized as being among the finest in children’s books today.  Jan will travel to 23 cities in just 17 days aboard her Winter Wonderland Bus, with Springfield being one stop. Her books have been chosen as Best Children’s Books of the Year by The New Yorker, Parents, Redbook, and others.

Jan will do a drawing demonstration related to her bestselling picture book “Cozy” and talk about her research trip to Alaska to see the musk oxen. There will also be a special visit with one of her favorite characters, Hedgie. Jan will be available for a limited number of book signings. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. (No advance book-signing tickets will be available.) Books will be available for purchase during the event.

We hope you can join us for the magical event to kick off the winter season.
