“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” 50th Anniversary Celebrations at Fair Grove and Strafford Branch Libraries

Charlie's turning 50! Come by the Fair Grove or Strafford branch libraries anytime Sept. 15-20 and test your trivia knowledge of chocolate and everything Willy Wonka. Children in preschool-grade 5 can check out books wrapped as Wonka Bars for a chance to win one of two golden tickets that you can trade for treats and a tour provided by Askinosie Chocolate.
We'll celebrate the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl's chocolaty classic with a double dose of sweetness starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Fair Grove and Strafford branch libraries. Watch the 1971 classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," rated G, followed by the 2005 version "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," rated PG.
