U.S Air Force Freedom Winds Band to Perform April 14
April 6, 2015 —
All ages are invited to hear the Freedom Winds Woodwind Quintet perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in the Frisco Room of the Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.
Freedom Winds is the premier U.S. Air Force band in the Midwest, delivering professional music to small groups as well as concert halls across the Midwest. The woodwind quintet is accompanied by a drummer.
This dynamic woodwind ensemble performs music from renaissance to contemporary styles, popular marches and patriotic crowd pleasers. It often performs for small military retirements, changes of command and other military functions.
The group also reaches out to America’s young music students, offering concerts, clinics and master classes in wind chamber repertoire and instrumental technique.
