Kids’ Author/Illustrator Debbie Ridpath Ohi Coming Oct. 5 to Library Center

September 12, 2016 — Publisher’s Weekly described “Where Are My Books?” as “a story that should quickly find its way into the hearts of book lovers of all ages.” On Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 7-7:30 p.m., the lively author/illustrator of that children’s book, Debbie Ridpath Ohi, will talk about her work as a writer and illustrator in the Library Center auditorium.

Book sales and signing will follow her 30-minute talk. Children and families are invited to this free event.

Ohi’s clever illustrations appear in books by Judy Blume, and in Michael Ian Black’s book “Naked!”, winner of the 2015 Missouri Building Block Picture Book Award, and illustrated the Building Block nominee, “I’m Bored.”

Her most recent book illustration projects include the 2016 “Ruby Rose, Off to School She Goes” by Rob Sanders, and the “Mitzi Tulane, Preschool Detective” 2016 series by Lauren McLaughlin.

Debbie will be in Springfield as a guest speaker at the Missouri Library Association annual conference October 5-7 at the Oasis Convention Center.
