Ready Player One
The book “Ready Player, One” by Ernest Cline, a science fiction story based around an action-packed cyber-quest, is at its core an ode to all things '80s. The story is packed with enough pop culture references to give even the most dedicated trivia buffs a run for their money, and enough nostalgia to make one long for the days of walkmans, acid wash jeans and mall arcades. As the release of the movie draws near (March 30), take a moment to acquaint (or in some cases, reacquaint) yourself with these totally rad book, movie, TV show and music classics and consider yourself one step closer to being an “Anorak’s Almanac” expert.
