VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers are a valuable resource for public service organizations. The Library uses the services of volunteers, age 14 and older, to supplement the duties and activities of paid staff. Keep up with volunteer activities with the Between Volunteers newsletter.
The Library has an immediate need for Gift Shop volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering, download and complete a volunteer application (pdf) and return it to your nearest branch Library. The Human Resources Department will review all applications and contact the applicant when a position is available.
There are many other opportunities for volunteers in the Library:
- assist with Walking Books program for homebound patrons
- shelve materials
- help with clerical duties
- special projects
The Friends of the Library also use the services of its volunteers/members to put on the Book Sales.
