Series Offers Tips on Medication, Opioid Use Safety
Greene County has one of Missouri’s highest rates of hospital emergency room visits due to opioid misuse and overdose, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. The average age of first use/misuse of prescription drugs for Greene County students is 11.61 years. Make plans to attend this series presented by students from the UMKC School of Pharmacy at MSU, working with Community Partnership of the Ozarks to promote a preventive approach to opioid addiction in southwest Missouri.
