Author Laura McHugh Visits Library Center Sept. 30; Fall Book Sale Approaches; Join the Walk and Talk Book Club

Author Laura McHugh and the book cover for her new book "The Wolf Wants In."Columbia, Missouri, author Laura McHugh is back with another thriller in her new book, “The Wolf Wants In,” and she’ll be talking about it in person at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in the Library Center auditorium.

McHugh is the literary star whose first mystery novel, the Ozarks-noir “The Weight of Blood” won both the 2015 International Thriller Writers award and a Silver Falchion award for best first novel. The book garnered nominations for several other awards. McHugh followed that up with her next twisted tale, “Arrowood,” in which nothing is what it seems.

McHugh will talk about her writing process and the research for her latest psychological thriller, “The Wolf Wants In.” Book reviewers describe it as a gripping novel of suspense for fans of “Sharp Objects” or “S-town.”

McHugh’s books will be available for purchase and signing. Provided in partnership with the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the Missouri State University Libraries. Call 882-0714.
