Make it a date night, a family night, or just a kids’ get-together in front of the big screen at the Library in December. They’re always free!
For Kids and Families
- Wednesday, Dec. 11, 4-6 p.m., Fair Grove Branch Library, for grades K-4. Raise the Roof with Rudolph! Watch the classic "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," rated TV-G, and let your holiday creativity shine as you decorate your own gingerbread house. House and materials will be provided; seating is limited. Call 759-2637 to register.
- Saturday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for all ages, Fair Grove Branch Library. Grumpy Christmas. Put your seasonal stress in check with a movie featuring a holiday scrooge. We'll watch the crowd choice from a trio of family-friendly classics, rated G or PG, make a melted snowman cookie and enjoy a hot chocolate. Materials will be provided. Call 759-2637.
- Saturday, Dec. 21, 2 p.m. for grades K-5, Library Center auditorium. "Elf" Interactive. Sing and have fun with Buddy the Elf during this interactive showing of "Elf," rated PG. Crafts and activities included. Call 882-0714.
- Saturday, Dec. 28, 2-4 p.m., Library Station Santa Fe Room. Watch “Mary Poppins Returns,” rated PG, on the big screen, popcorn provided. Call 865-1340.
For Teens
- Friday, Dec. 13, 6-8 p.m., Library Station Frisco Room, for grades 6-12. For Teen Night, watch Tim Burton’s classic “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” rated PG, and create a Burton-esque Frankentoy to take home. Call 865-1340.
- Friday, Dec. 27, 6-8 p.m., Library Station Frisco Room for grades 6-12. For Teen Night, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate as you watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," rated PG, 2000. Call 865-1340.
For Adults
- Tuesday, Dec. 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Library Center auditorium. Movies for Grown-ups. AARP hosts this holiday film, “A Dog Named Christmas,” not rated. Light refreshments will be provided. Call 882-0714.
