Humorist David Sedaris Reschedules Visit June 25, 2021
The David Sedaris event previously planned for Sept. 17 has been rescheduled for June 25, 2021 at the historic Gillioz Theatre in downtown Springfield.
Tickets originally distributed for the event remain valid for the 2021 date, according to sponsors with the Springfield-Greene County Libraries and Gillioz Executive Director Geoff Steele.
Due to the amount of time between the ticket distribution and the event, the Gillioz plans a “recertification process.”
- Ticketholders will receive an email on Thursday, April 15, 2021, requesting they respond to validate their tickets by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 20.
- If tickets are not confirmed via email or phone by the deadline, the tickets will become invalid and could be reissued to the public.
The Springfield visit by humorist and satirist David Sedaris is underwritten by the Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Libraries, which is providing the free, reserved tickets to the public.
The event originally was planned for May 1, and was later rescheduled for Sept. 17 when Sedaris canceled his spring 2020 tour due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.
