Student Visits to Libraries Will Have Limitations Due to COVID-19
Does Your Student Come to the Library for Study or Research?
The Springfield-Greene County Library staff wants to support families coming to the Library, and help keep children and teens safe as school resumes during the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, library branches are enforcing masking and providing for social distancing by severely limiting seating and group study areas.
Please call your library before your child’s visit to discuss these guidelines:

Limited space and severely reduced seating capacity

Social distancing, capacity limits and wearing of masks will be enforced

No congregating in groups

No more than one person per table. (Exceptions may apply for tutoring sessions.)

Minimal public computers available; 30-minute sessions only

Socializing, programs and group projects are not permitted. No shared activities such as puzzles, toys and games will be available.

Children 9 years old and under (and those requiring supervision) must be in the physical presence and supervision of a responsible adult (defined as a parent, guardian, teacher or assigned caregiver who is at least 16 years of age).
Children and teens can still access Wi-Fi, research and book recommendations, and knowledgeable staff for homework help while they are studying at the Library.
