Mental Health Resources

Getting Started:

Mental health is a key part of our overall health and just as important as physical health. The term "mental health" covers our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, which affects how we think, feel, and act. It determines our ability to handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Just like physical illnesses, it is possible to experience mental illness. A mental illness is a change in our thinking, feelings, and behaviors that negatively impact the ability to live our lives. Mental illnesses are normal, common, and treatable. [CDC]
