Friends of the Library Again Accepting Donations for Book Sale
Got books? The Friends of the Library are accepting them again, along with used CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, games and puzzles for the Friends’ Fall Book Sale Sept. 15-19.
The public may drop off donations during business hours in the usual place at any library branch, with one exception. Donations at the Library Center should continue to be dropped off at the book drop under the shed overhang in the far southwest corner of the parking lot.
Donations at the branches were curtailed in 2020 due to the pandemic, but the public was directed to donate items at the Library Center by summer 2020.
The pandemic seemed to fuel appetites for books, movies and music, judging from the last two Friends’ sales. The fall 2020 sale grossed $143,154.11, and the spring 2021 sale broke a record with $172,653.88.
