Watch Your Email from Gillioz to Recertify Your Sedaris Tickets
The David Sedaris event we’ve all been waiting for is still on the books for Thursday, October 21, at the historic Gillioz Theatre in downtown Springfield. It was rescheduled several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets originally distributed by the Gillioz for the event remain valid for the October 21 date if ticket holders recertify them using the following process:
- Ticket holders should receive a reminder email from the Gillioz Theatre on August 1, 15 and 28.
- On August 28, the Gillioz will send a final reminder email to alert ticket holders that they have 48 hours to confirm.
-
Before 4 p.m. August 30, ticket holders should confirm with an email reply that they intend to use their tickets.
- If tickets are NOT confirmed via email or phone by the 4 p.m. Aug. 30 deadline, the tickets will become invalid and could be reissued to the public.
These tickets are FREE. If someone is charging you, they are a reseller and that ticket could be invalid. Don't fall for fraud – the ONLY place to get an authorized ticket is the Gillioz Box Office.
Don't have a ticket? The Gillioz and Library will announce any ticket availability on September 1.
The Springfield visit by humorist and satirist David Sedaris is underwritten by the Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Libraries, which is providing the free, reserved tickets to the public. Sedaris canceled his spring 2020 and 2021 tours due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.
