Teen Programs Ahead: Crafts, Karaoke, Movies and Games
After a short break, ‘tween and teen programs are making a triumphant return to the libraries. Take a break from school books and enjoy some arts and crafts, experiments, karaoke, board games, a new one -- Coffee Talks -- and movies! What's Up Wednesdays
Wednesdays, March 2, April 6 and May 4, 2:30-4:30 p.m. for grades 6-12 in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library Teen Room. You never know what might happen on Wednesdays in the Teen Room. Each week we'll surprise you with fun activities! We might do arts and crafts, play board games, do silly experiments, sing karaoke or take a trip to the Maker Space.
Board at the Library
Mondays, March 7 and 28 and April 11 and 25, 1-3 p.m. for grades 5-12 at the Fair Grove Branch Library. Enjoy old-fashioned board games and activities at the Library! We're pulling the plug, no video games or computers. Bring your own age-appropriate games, or play ours. Snacks will be provided.
Coffee Talk
Tuesdays, March 8, April 12 and May 10, 5 p.m. for grades 6-9 in the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library Benway Room. Let's talk about books, movies, hobbies and ideas you have for programs and activities at the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library! We'll provide some excellent gourmet coffee, snacks and fun games to help us get to know you. Bring a friend and make some more!
Teen Craft Night
Fridays, 6-7:30 p.m. for grades 6-12 in the Library Station Frisco Room. Make something cool with us on the second Friday of the month! Materials will be provided.
March 11: Cut and sew your own plushie.
April 8: Make a customizable trinket necklace out of a small bottle.
Teen Anime Night
Fridays, March 25, April 22 and May 27, 6-7:30 p.m. for age 14-grade 12 in the Library Station Frisco Room. Munch on popcorn while watching some of our favorite anime, rated TV-14 or under, on Crunchyroll! Popcorn provided.
"May the Fourth Be with You" Teen Movie Night
Friday, May 6, 5-7:30 p.m. for grades 6-12 in the Library Station Frisco Room. Celebrate May the Fourth at the Library! Watch the crowd choice from the classic Star Wars trilogy, rated PG, and construct your own lightsaber from a pool noodle! Materials will be provided.
