Music Concerts in April Bring Jazz, Blues and Pop

If you love free concerts, drop by one of three planned in April at The Library. They’re generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The Second Sunday Concert series continues on April 10, 2-3 p.m. for adults in the Library Center auditorium with The Bob Holden Jazz Ensemble. A 25-member jazz band featuring players ages 15-77 under the direction of Bob Holden, will play music from the Big Band Era, 1930s-40s.

If you’re into folk music instead, that same day the Library Station will host Listening in the Lobby April 10 from 2-3 p.m. for all ages. The Ozark Mountain Dulcimers will play traditional folk music and fill the lobby with their melodic sounds.

Uke 66, with Rick and Karen Maxson, take the Library Station lobby stage at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, to perform blues, jazz, folk and pop tunes on their ukuleles. All ages are welcome.
