Join The Great Backyard Bird Count with The Library
Join community scientists around the world by participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count Feb. 17-20.
Go to birdcount.org/participate for instructions on how to identify and record the birds you see. Then birdwatch for at least 15 minutes one or more times from February 17-20 and share what you see using the Merlin Bird ID app on your smartphone or log your information on the provided form and enter it on www.birdcount.org/ebird-on-computer. Data gathered during the count helps scientists study migration patterns and discover long-term trends. The bird count is hosted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society and Birds Canada.
Continue bird watching!
