Free Comic Book Day at the Library Station!
By Hannah at the Library Station
The first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day! On Saturday, May 6, 2023, families with children in grades K-12 can join us from 2-4 p.m. in the Santa Fe & Frisco Rooms at the Library Station (2535 N. Kansas Expressway) to celebrate!
Comic Force, a local comic store here in Springfield, MO has donated over 200 comics rated All Ages or Teen that we will be handing out. Kids will have their choice of one free comic to keep while supplies last!
In addition to getting a free comic, there will be other comic-related activities to enjoy. Design your own comic, create your own superhero, make crafts, play games and more! We will also have some friends from Garrison 66, a local Star Wars cosplay group, available for photos.
Listed below are some of the comic titles that will be offered this year:
For all ages/young readers:
Plus: Spidey & His Amazing Friends #1
InvestiGators: All Tide Up
Dog Man & the League of Misfits
Animal Crossing/Kirby Manga Mania
Star Wars the High Republic
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
