Library Offers Grow with Google Training in Cybersecurity, Advanced Data Analytics, Business Intelligence

The Library’s Computer Training Center now offers free, flexible online training in Cybersecurity, Advanced Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence certificates. The career certificates are offered through the Library’s partnership with Grow With Google.

Grow with Google still includes career certificates in IT Support, Data Analytics, User Experience (UX) Design, or Project Management. No experience is necessary to enroll. The online training is available at convenient times at the Computer Training Center inside the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library.

Individuals who register for the program will be able to learn through the Coursera online learning platform free of charge, at their own pace. The Computer Training Center computers will be available for participants to complete their coursework, or participants can use their own computers from home.  Many people can complete the coursework in three to six months

Register for any of the certificate programs by calling 417-837-5011.

Google Career Certificates provide job seekers with access to in-demand jobs through rapid reskilling without the need for a college degree or prior experience in the fields of IT support, data analytics, project management, cybersecurity, business intelligence, and user experience (UX) design. These certificates were developed and are taught by Google employees working in these fields, and are hands-on, practical and rigorous.

Since launching in 2018, the Google IT Support Certificate has become the No. 1 most popular certificate on Coursera. Tens of thousands of people have graduated from the program, and 82% say the program helped them advance their job search or career within three to six months.
