She's taken many forms over the years, and the current Mobile Library, now 12 years old, rumbles all across Greene County, putting in about 680 miles a month with the help of The Library's Outreach Services Department.

  It's after hours and you need to get a book, or you're craving a late-night movie and the TV won't do. You can find a book or favorite DVD at the Library Express East, the 24-hour, outdoor library kiosk on the parking lot of the Frisco Building on East Chestnut Expressway. On the west side, instead? Visit the Library Express West at Orchard Plaza on West Chestnut Expressway.

The Friends of the Library broke a record during the Spring Book Sale April 25-30, with $205,639.70 in sales of used books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, games and puzzles donated all year by community members and the Springfield-Greene County Library.
