She's a Youthful 75 and Drives 680 Miles a Month

We're celebrating a happy 75th anniversary to The Library's bookmobile service to thousands of Greene County children, teens and adults. She's taken many forms over the years, and the current Mobile Library, now 12 years old, rumbles all across Greene County, putting in about 680 miles a month with the help of The Library's Outreach Services Department.


Library Closed? No Problem! Visit the 24-Hour Library Kiosks

  It's after hours and you need to get a book, or you're craving a late-night movie and the TV won't do. You can find a book or favorite DVD at the Library Express East, the 24-hour, outdoor library kiosk on the parking lot of the Frisco Building on East Chestnut Expressway. On the west side, instead? Visit the Library Express West at Orchard Plaza on West Chestnut Expressway. 


Sign Up Starting June 1 for the Library's Summer Reading Program!

This is the reading challenge that kids, teens and adults look forward to every year! That's because the Library's Summer Reading Program offers a way to earn cool stuff, free books and prizes while they read through the summer. Every age can participate -- even babies -- when they're read to by a loving sibling or adult.


Friends of the Library Book Sale Breaks Record with $205,639.70

The Friends of the Library broke a record during the Spring Book Sale April 25-30, with $205,639.70 in sales of used books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, games and puzzles donated all year by community members and the Springfield-Greene County Library.
