About the Library Express East
The Library Express East is the Springfield-Greene County Library District’s second 24-hour kiosk, where patrons can browse and check out books and DVDs with their library card any hour of the day, seven days a week. It can hold a small collection of items for children, teens and adults. More items can be placed on hold from the library catalog and picked up or returned to the kiosk. Patrons can scan their library card or key in their card number to access materials. The vending unit is under a lighted canopy, so you can use it any time of the day or night, in any weather.
Library Express East exists to serve all patrons, especially residents and businesses in east Springfield.
The kiosk was manufactured by EnvisionWare, and is made possible with a grant from the Friends of the Library, with additional support from a Library Services and Technology Act grant through the State Library.
