An Evening of Original Acoustic Music with Mark Bilyeu June 23 at the Library Center
June 14, 2012 — Musician Mark Bilyeu will treat Library patrons of all ages to a free summer concert of acoustic music at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, on the Library Center patio, 4653 S. Campbell.
As part of the Ozarks family band Big Smith, Mark Bilyeu has served as guitarist/singer for the last 15 years until the band retired. Mark continues writing, performing and touring.
In 2005, Mark released a solo CD, "First One Free," which explores his rock ‘n’ roll identity with a cast of Mississippi musicians including Blue Mountain front man Cary Hudson. Since then, Bilyeu has continued playing solo acoustic shows.
This event is sponsored by Friends of the Library and is part of the Library’s Summer Reading Program. Find additional events at thelibrary.org/programs.
