Laura Stewart Schmidt “Until Proven Innocent” Book Signing Oct. 27 at Library Center

October 17, 2018 — Author Laura Stewart Schmidt will sell and sign copies of her first young adult novel, “Until Proven Innocent,” from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Library Center concourse, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.

When 15-year-old Alison's grandfather hints that their family was involved in the fiery deaths of a woman and her daughter 50 years ago, her grandmother acts like it's his Alzheimer's talking. Alison decides to investigate and is stunned to learn that her grandmother was accused of starting the fatal blaze. Even though she wasn't convicted, she was ostracized by the community and has lived her life under a cloud of suspicion. Alison is determined to find out the real cause of the fire and clear her grandmother's name. The more clues she uncovers, the closer she gets to unmasking a killer – who may make Alison the next victim.
