Relive the '80s Cartoons, Celebs, Games & Fashions Jan. 26 at the Library Station

December 21, 2018 —      Join us for ‘80s-themed games, music and activities all day on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Library Station 2535 N. Kansas Expressway. There’s something for all ages to do, see and strut at ‘80s day. For more information call 865-1340.
Here’s what’s happening:
•    Saturday Morning Cartoons 10 a.m.-noon for adults in the Santa Fe Room. Are you feeling nostalgic for your 80s childhood? Watch the Saturday morning cartoons you grew up with, rated PG or under, and eat some of your favorite childhood breakfast cereals.    
•    '80s Day 1-5 p.m. for adults and teens. Join us for '80s-themed games, music and activities. Put your '80s music knowledge to the test against other fans during “Name That Tune” at 2 p.m. for adults and teens in grades 6-12 in the Frisco Room.  
•    Disney's “The Little Mermaid” Sing-Along 2-3:30 p.m. for families with children of all ages in the Story Hour Room. Travel “Under the Sea” with this award-winning '80s classic, rated G, and enjoy snacks and special surprises. Costumes are encouraged!  
•    All-ages ‘80s costume contest at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby. Break out the big hair, shoulder pads and leg warmers and strut your ‘80s chic. 
•    “The Golden Girls” Trivia Night, 6-8 p.m. for adults in the Frisco Room. Are you the ultimate “Golden Girls” fan? Gather your squad of four and put your knowledge to the test during this trivia contest based on “The Golden Girls” TV show. Registration starts January 14; call 616-0683.
•    Saturday Movie Night 6-8:20 p.m. for age 13 and older in the Santa Fe Room. Watch popular movies on the big screen at the library, popcorn provided. “Ready Player One,” rated PG-13.
