Library Invites All to Submit Photos of Enduring COVID-19 in the Ozarks
April 17, 2020 — How are you enduring COVID-19 these days?
The Springfield-Greene County Library wants you to take a photograph of it and help create a historical archive called Enduring COVID-19 in the Ozarks.
The Library invites all ages and stages of life to document, in photos, scenes of life in the Ozarks as we practice self-distancing and staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s seeking images and information from area residents to tell this story. The photographs can be images of daily life coping with social distancing, or drive-by birthday parties, empty parking lots, colorful messages on homeowner windows, and people wearing masks. The project welcomes everyone from health care workers to drive-through restaurant staff to scenes of school at home.
How to participate: Go online to https://thelibrary.org/enduringcovid19 and fill out the submission form, describe the people and events in the photo, and submit the photo.
The Library will share the photos on social media, and the collection will be archived for anyone to enjoy on the Library District's Digital Archive.
