Hear Your Poetry Pals Wednesdays on KSMU
May 20, 2020 — A new radio series for children, "Poetry Pals," launched on Wednesday, May 20, airing on the local NPR station, KSMU-Ozarks Public Radio.
The Springfield-Greene County Library District, KSMU, and legendary children's author and poet, David L. Harrison, have teamed up to bring these fun bursts of poetry to children across the Ozarks region.
"Poetry Pals" airs at 9:45 a.m. each Wednesday on KSMU with children's poems read aloud by Harrison or a local librarian. Launched in response to the coronavirus pandemic, this over-the-air radio series aims to serve children who are spending more time at home right now, many of whom do not have internet access. "Poetry Pals" will run through July 1.
