Find Out How It's Made Here: Crackerjack Shack

August 25, 2020 —  Catch a behind-the-scenes look at thriving businesses that make their products right here in the Springfield area during a virtual program, Made Here: Crackerjack Shack, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, for adults.

Take a virtual tour and hear the story behind Republic-based screen printing and embroidering business Crackerjack Shack with owner Sandy Higgins. Whether you're an entrepreneur looking for inspiration or a curious 417-area citizen, you’ll learn something new.

Higgins and her business were featured in Forbes through The Story Exchange, a nonprofit media organization dedicated to telling the personal and professional stories of women business owners. She started her business out of the basement of her house, and moved into a commercial location when equipment grew too large for the home space. It has continued to grow into larger spaces as demand grew for her products.

We'll offer a virtual tour of Crackerjack Shack's facility and printing process in action, and have a moderator and audience Q&A session by Zoom to learn more about how Higgins grew Crackerjack Shack from a one-person operation to an award-winning business with an experienced staff of more than a dozen with a commitment to quality and philanthropy, right here in Greene County.

Sponsored by the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library. Register by Sept. 9 by visiting thelibrary.org/programs or call 417-883-1974. A link and password to access the virtual event will be shared with registered participants.
