Willard Branch Closed through Dec. 27 Due to COVID-19 Quarantines
December 18, 2020 — The Willard Branch Library closed at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, due to quarantine procedures necessary for the staff after a co-worker tested positive for COVID-19.
The branch, located at 304 E. Jackson St., Willard, is expected to reopen on Monday, Dec. 28. The outdoor book drop will be locked during the closure. Library patrons’ due dates will be extended during that time. Materials can also be returned to book drops at other Springfield-Greene County Library branches.
The eight staff members wore masks throughout their overlapping shifts, but will quarantine at home out of an abundance of caution. All library visitors from age 3 through adult are also required to wear masks in the branch, except for medical reasons, so public exposure is expected to be minimal.
