Friends, Gift Shop and Library Roll Out 3 Sidewalk Sales Under One Roof June 25-26
June 9, 2021 — Stock up on summer reading gems, gifts and own a piece of Library "history" -- pre-loved furniture -- at the summer sidewalk sale by the Friends of the Library, Between Friends Gift Shop and The Library. It's all at the Library Center 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, June 25; and 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, June 26.
The Friends' Children's Summer Book Sale in the auditorium will feature:
- Children's "Landmark Books" from the 1950s-1970s for $1-$3. Topics include history, geography, biography and fiction for school-age children. Like-new or never-used, they're great for teachers, parents and homeschoolers.
- Hardcover paperbacks for young adults and better adult fiction for $1.
- Children's picture books, $1; children's "better books" $4 and up.
The Friends accept cash or check, only.
The Between Friends Gift Shop sale will be in meeting rooms A and B, and feature gifts for all ages, priced at 50 cents and up. Quantities are limited, so get there early!
- Jewelry and clothing
- Greeting cards and picture frames
- Children's stuffies, toys, night lights and diaper bags
- Christmas and other holiday items
- Brand-name gifts including Demdaco, Ganz and Noelle
- Displays and fixtures including standing hangers, baskets and bins
The gift shop accepts cash, check and credit cards.
The Library is also moving out some pre-loved furniture in a Scratch & Dent Sale in rooms A & B, the cafe and south patio. Get in on bargains of:
- Couches, chairs, ottomans
- Metal tables and chairs
- Shelving, plastic items and folding tables.
