Take the Pokémon Challenges During Poké-Week at Two Libraries!
February 23, 2023 — Pokémon is a fan favorite, so we’re hosting weeks of Pokémon-themed programs at the Library Center and Library Station for all the future Pokémon trainers.
Poké-Week at the Library Station!
From 2-4 p.m. for grade K-6 in the Frisco Room. Stop by during spring break for a different Pokémon-themed activity each day.
- Monday, March 13: Pokémon Crafternoon. Make your own monster cards and other crafts. Materials will be provided.
- Tuesday, March 14: Pokémon LEGO Brick Building. Construct Pokémon out of LEGO bricks. We’ll provide templates or use your imagination to make your own.
- Wednesday, March 15: Pokémon Bingo. Collect five in a row (or collect ‘em all) to win a special prize.
- Thursday, March 16: Pokémon STEAM Explorers. Learn about animal classifications with Pokémon ecology as you match the monster with the real-life animals. Materials will be provided; no registration required.
- Friday, March 17: Family Pokémon Movie Afternoon. Kids and teens are welcome to watch "Pokémon Detective Pikachu," rated PG.

Pokémon Movie Marathon
Wednesday, March 15, 1-4:45 p.m. for grades K-5 in the auditorium. Spend the afternoon watching Pokémon on the big screen! 1 p.m. " Pokémon: The First Movie," rated G; 3 p.m. "Pokémon Detective Pikachu," rated PG.
Pokémon Crafternoon
Thursday, March 16, 1-4 p.m. for grades K-6 in the Story Hour Room. Stop by and create some Poké-themed crafts. We'll provide the materials, you provide the creativity and Pokémon knowledge to design your own pocket monster, make your own trading card or catch Pokémon in our scavenger hunt.
Learn to Play the Pokémon Trading Card Game
Friday, March 17, 1-4 p.m. for grades K-6 in the Story Hour Room. Learn to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game and battle trainers to see who is the very best.
Pokémon Trainer Camp
Saturday, March 25, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for grades K-6 in the auditorium. Do you want to be the very best trainer? Attend our trainer camp to expand your Pokémon knowledge, add to your Pokédex and more!
Pokémon Trivia Challenge
Saturday, March 25, 2 p.m. for grades 2-adult in the auditorium. Gather your favorite starters and test your Pokémon expertise! Compete in teams of 2-5 in our Pokémon trivia and see if you have what it takes to "Catch 'Em All." Registration starts March 11; call 417-616-0526.

Gotta Plant 'Em All
Wednesday, April 12, 3:30 p.m.-6 p.m. for grades 6-12. Gotta catch 'em all and make them a cute, adorable home. Craft a Pokémon terrarium and play trivia, including a game of "Who's that Pokémon?" Materials will be provided.
